Job Description
The role of Resident Quality/Customer Satisfaction Engineer is located at the customer facility, where you will act as a liaison and first point of contact to assist with mitigating risk and addressing quality concerns. You will provide expertise in problem-solving, and act as a Black Belt/Red X Master to ensure high proficiency. The position involves working closely with internal teams to implement cost reduction initiatives and provide solutions for customer problem-solving.
ResponsibilitiesAct as the liaison to address quality concerns with products at the customer facility.Provide information relevant to new products and processes.Implement cost reduction initiatives where applicable.Provide suggestions and solution plans to internal teams for customer problem-solving.Establish and maintain communication with the appropriate customer contacts.Track customer complaints and follow up on corrective actions.Monitor quality improvement performance using a tracker.Provide technical expertise to customers to ensure effective handling of products.Understand and follow relevant Enterprise Operating System policies and provide monthly feedback.Participate in vehicle assembly plant quality team to improve customer satisfaction.Coordinate in-plant coverage for prototypes, pilot runs, special runs, and new model year start-ups.Follow environmental health and safety policies.Coordinate sorts, reworks, and special studies as needed.Collaborate with divisional CSE's to solve issues and contain problems.Essential SkillsExperience with wiring harnesses and assembly.Supplier quality management.Experience in an automotive plant environment.Problem-solving skills with customers.Ability to work off engineering prints.Proficiency in wire harness experience, quality engineering, and root cause analysis.CAD skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent STEM major.Proficient Microsoft Office skills.Excellent organizational skills.Strong communication skills.Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic, requiring constant communication with customers and colleagues. The ability to hit the ground running is essential, and candidates should not be hesitant. Engineering leads will be available for support. Safety training will be provided both by the company and the assigned site, with significant learning on the go. The position involves first shift at Michigan Assembly Plant, second shift at Dearborn Truck Plant, and second shift at Flint Assembly Plant. Overtime may be required occasionally on Saturdays, but not often on Sundays.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
