About the Role

As a Quality Engineer at Babcock, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards across their development and production lifecycle.

Drawing on your engineering expertise, you’ll review customer purchase orders, conduct technical investigations, and support the delivery of solutions that align with our commitment to quality, safety, and performance.

You’ll act as a key interface between quality control and assurance functions, managing documentation, non-conformance reports, and technical investigations to drive continuous improvement.

You’ll also engage directly with suppliers and customers, lead quality process improvements, and contribute to broader business development initiatives.

About You

You are a qualified and experienced engineer with a solid foundation in quality systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering standards.

You understand how to interpret and apply technical requirements and have the confidence to make informed decisions within your discipline.

Whether you’re analysing data for problem resolution or managing root cause analysis (RCA), you bring structured thinking and clear communication to every task.

Your proactive mindset and attention to detail enable you to identify opportunities to improve processes, deliver sustainable solutions, and support the long-term goals of Babcock and its customers.

 

To be successful in this position you will bring:

 

A good understanding of the design, analysis, manufacturing, and support techniques throughout the engineering product lifecycle. Knowledge of engineering reports / technical writing in an engineering environment. A good understanding of Product Safety and Quality Processes. Awareness of the principles of technical risk management. Awareness of Configuration Management Processes. An understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software). Able to deliver communications effectively within a cross functional environment.
