Quality Engineer
Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description

This role will support supplier, customer, and internal quality for an automotive electronics manufacturing company. The individual will develop and maintain quality requirements and standards in a lean manufacturing environment, assist in process certification, and conduct internal and external audits. The role involves identifying problems within the current manufacturing environment and devising solutions to improve quality standards. It requires knowledge of electronic manufacturing standards, PCB, and root cause analysis.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain quality assurance standards and procedures.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure product compliance.Assist in process certification and conduct internal and external audits.Identify and resolve issues within the manufacturing environment to improve quality standards.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in quality engineering.Electronics manufacturing expertise.Proficiency in APQP and customer quality experience.Problem-solving skills and root cause analysis.Supplier quality management and audit experience.Knowledge of PCB assembly and IPC A610 standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsPCB assembly knowledge.Familiarity with IPC A610 electronic manufacturing standards.Engineering degree.Knowledge of electrostatic discharge.Work Environment

This position involves a mixed office and floor-based role, with approximately 60% of the time spent on the manufacturing floor. The work environment is a smaller automotive facility that is clean and well-maintained. Employees will have opportunities for training and development, allowing them to make improvements and establish new standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
