Job Description
This role provides direct support to the manufacturing lines by developing and implementing methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection to ensure that products are flawless and function as designed.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor and trend production defects and lead projects to resolve top defects.Identify, contain, and correct nonconformances originating from the manufacturing area.Coach cross-functional teams on Quality Management System (QMS) requirements as they relate to the manufacturing facility.Design and install testing equipment when appropriate, and perform product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates.Work with cross-functional teams on design or process changes.Actively involve in any changes to production.Essential SkillsQuality engineering in medical devices.Problem-solving skills.Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Root cause analysis.ISO standards knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsAS or BS degree in an engineering discipline.1-3 years of engineering experience.Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with everyone from operators to upper management.Ability to conduct and document technical investigations.Experience with GD&T and Statistical Analysis Capability is highly desirable.Experience with Trackwise or MasterControl preferred.Work Environment
Work in a medical device assembly facility with a mix of electronics, plastics, and metal components. The role requires being onsite 5 days a week, supporting the manufacturing environment with a 60% focus on manufacturing tasks and 40% on office-related activities. Gain experience in both mechanical and electrical processes, with potential for long-term engagement beyond 12 months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
