Job Description
The Quality Engineer II plays a critical role in ensuring product and process quality by applying statistical and analytical methods to assess quality performance and cost-of-quality. This position is responsible for developing and implementing inspection, testing, and evaluation procedures to guarantee the precision, reliability, and accuracy of products and production equipment.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain quality systems, inspection plans, and technical quality documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and contracts.Conduct thorough analyses to identify non-conforming products or materials, assign responsibility, and collaborate with product development teams to provide quality input.Monitor quality trends and coordinate corrective actions with customers and suppliers.Perform in-house and supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.Develop programs to enhance supplier performance and prepare detailed quality reports.Evaluate proposed changes in materials or methods.Compile training materials and deliver training sessions on quality control activities to support continuous improvement.Essential SkillsQuality engineeringQuality assuranceRoot cause analysisAuditMedical device knowledgeSix Sigma Green BeltCleanroom experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering or a related discipline.Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of related experience.American Society for Quality certification desired.Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art inspection and quality engineering/assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles, and concepts.Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement techniques to quality and manufacturing functions.Ability to use standard business applications software and/or specialized data analysis tools.Experience in maintaining and improving QS9000/ISO9000 and TSI6949 Systems is desired.Work Environment
The work environment involves collaboration with product development teams and interaction with suppliers and customers. The role requires conducting audits and assessments in various settings, including cleanrooms. The position also involves compiling and delivering training sessions to maintain high-quality standards across the organization. The work setting promotes continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
