Job Description
As a Quality Engineer, you will assist in the development of departmental processes, document control, and goals with compliance to AS9100D, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of process improvements throughout the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing adherence to procedures and developing inspection documentation for receiving, in-process, and final inspection. Additionally, you will assist in reviewing internal and external non-conformances and coordinating corrective action responses to prevent recurrence. Your role will also include monitoring supplier performance and coordinating government inspections. You will provide quality interface and expertise within the business unit, establish and maintain quality management systems (ISO-9001 and AS9100D), and ensure customer satisfaction through quality.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development of departmental processes, document control, and goals with compliance to AS9100D.Focus on continuous improvement initiatives and implement process improvements throughout the organization.Ensure manufacturing adherence to procedures and develop inspection documentation for receiving, in-process, and final inspection.Review internal and external non-conformances and coordinate corrective action responses to prevent recurrence.Monitor supplier performance and coordinate government inspections.Provide quality interface and expertise within the business unit.Establish and maintain quality management systems (ISO-9001 and AS9100D).Support current business operations, including manufacturing support, inspection and test, supplier monitoring, and customer support.Essential SkillsFormal technical/engineering degree (BSME or equivalent) with at least 8+ years of experience.Proficiency with Quality Engineering principles such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and statistical process controls.Experience applying quality engineering principles to low volume/high mix manufacturing for complex Defense/Military projects.Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Audits, NCRs, MRB, and project management.Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards.Ability to manage projects for defense and government-related projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with aerospace and defense projects.Experience working for major defense contractors like Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed, and Northrop.Familiarity with metrology equipment, calibration equipment, GD&T, and machining.Project management skills and experience with work instruction, CNC machining, welding, and job costing software.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.00 - $65.00/hr.
