Why Join Us | DuPont Careers (https://careers.dupont.com/us/en/whyjoinus) **Quality Engineer** **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Maintain quality requirements for raw materials and outplant processing including close interaction with suppliers to ensure clear communication of DuPont expectations + Engages suppliers to drive issue resolution in support of Operations schedule adherence and to ensure only quality products are delivered to inventory + Lead investigator for supplier incidents and related product disposition and root cause / corrective action where needed + Provides Technical Support for Metrology (Inspection) processes + Support data driven process improvements through effective implementation and maintenance of Quality Clinic processes. + Establish and maintain product quality control through effective deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and statistical data collection and analysis. + Leads and participates on RCCA Investigation teams in support of Customer, Supplier and Internal risk mitigation activity + Champion efforts to maintain Site compliance to ISO 9001/ AS9100, AS13100, NADCAP, and other regulatory and statutory requirements. + May act as primary coordinator of QA responsibilities relative to Engineering Change Notice (ECN) approvals for product documentation + Ensures resolution of issues in Inspection and/or Final Release processes + Support site audit programs including Supplier, Internal Audit, customer audit, and 3rd party audit execution and successful closure. **Leadership** + This role is expected to interface with all levels of Site Management, customers, suppliers, other Vespel Sites, and Vespel Business counterparts. The Quality Engineer is expected to identify opportunities for systemic process and product improvements and present those recommendations to Site Leadership for consideration and adoption. + This role requires a high degree of professionalism and exceptional verbal and written communication skills, to provide for effective presentation of improvement concepts to Leadership. A Quality Engineer may often be called upon to facilitate and/or present technical concept training and guidance. **Core Values** + The Quality Engineer is expected to Champion and act in accordance with Dupont Core Values, while applying these principles actively to decision-making: **_Safety and Health, Environmental Stewardship, Ethical Behavior, Respect for People_** **Education and Experience** + Requires a BS in Engineering or other technical discipline. + A minimum three years of experience holding a similar role in a manufacturing facility with a TS16949, ISO9001, or AS9100 Quality Management System. + The Quality Engineer is expected to have or be willing to obtain Certification by the American Society for Quality as a Quality Engineer. + Working knowledge of blueprint reading, Common Inspection Techniques, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, APQP, PFMEA / Control Plans is required. + Six Sigma certification is strongly desired. + Experience with AS9100, AS13100, ASME Y14.5 and NADCAP is a plus. **Physical Demands** + The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
