Job Description
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring product excellence by identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions. You will be responsible for overseeing the quality management system and improving production methods, product quality, and equipment performance. Your expertise will contribute to data collection, entry, and reporting for product conformance and process capability. Additionally, you will develop and implement methods and standards for products, materials, equipment, returns, testing, calibration, and processes while supporting AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management standards.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify root cause through corrective and preventive action.Implement corrective/preventive action and validate plans.Oversee the quality management system.Improve production methods, quality of products, and equipment performance.Collect, enter, and report data for product conformance and process capability.Develop and implement methods/standards for products, materials, equipment, returns, testing, calibration, and processes.Support AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management standards.Utilize statistical process control to support process capability.Support mechanical/electrical testing.Execute gap analysis.Essential SkillsQuality engineering expertise.Proficiency in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).Skill in root cause analysis.Experience in quality assurance.Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred.2+ years of experience within a quality function.Working knowledge and experience with problem solving methodologies.Experience with quality management systems.Experience in quality function management.Expertise in continuous improvement and lean/six sigma.Work Environment
The role supports a dynamic work environment focused on quality management standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001. You will be expected to utilize technologies such as statistical process control and engage in mechanical/electrical testing. The position emphasizes continuous improvement and requires a commitment to high-quality standards and methodologies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
