Job Description
ABOUR YOUR ROLE
The Quality Engineer is responsible for customer complaints, IPQC and OQA and Inspection activities of Operations. He/she will manage site customer incidents with appropriate containment action, failure analysis and corrective and preventive actions and upholding the Quality compliance guidelines.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Establishing the quality system procedures related to the QA department, set up quality standards, ensure conformance to requirements and define and update relevant Product Quality’s Work Instructions.
Initiating Continuous Quality Improvement plan, participating in Quality Control Plan and Quality Assurance Plan (QCP/QAP), Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and statistical techniques.
Coordinating customer complaints and feedback through structured problem solving and root cause corrective action analysis.
Liaise with customers on quality conformance and related issues. Perform investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action and preventive action for in- house rejects and customers’ complaints including verification of action taken.
Utilizing quality tools to analyze and determine the root cause of various products' defects and ensure that corrective action is taken to eliminate recurrence.
Leading all ISO certifications and audit activities including participating with all customers in assessments, process documents, training and audit. Responsible for the product quality and the quality system requirements of such product.
To perform any other duties as and when required by immediate superior.
To certify or recertify QA Inspectors assigned to the various operations.
Performing compliance audits and ensuring all procedures are carried out effectively.
Defining roles and responsibilities and identifies training needs for subordinates.
Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
Education: Degree in Quality Assurance, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: More than 3 years’ experience in quality and/or similar capacity in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Drive proactive continuous improvement on Yield and Quality Metrics
Data driven in decision making and status reporting.
Leading process risk management and production/process validation activities
Provide supervision and technical guidance to QA Inspectors/Leaders
Good knowledge in quality management tools such as SPC, Minitab, FMEA, Control Plan etc.
Work independently and have a strong sense of urgency and possess good analytical skills.
Experience in handling customer complaints and providing professional feedback.
Good leadership skills and is a good collaborator and team player.
Possess good communication and problem solving skills.
Show willingness and “can do” attitude.
Good spoken and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
