Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our team in El Paso, TX. This individual will be responsible for implementing Lean and Six Sigma concepts, developing manufacturing PFMEAs, monitoring key metrics, and leading continual improvement activities. ResponsibilitiesImplement and sustain Lean and Six Sigma concepts, collaborating with cross-functional teams and other functional departments.Develop manufacturing PFMEAs, Control Plans, and identify opportunities for improving tooling and processes.Stay updated on the latest methods and technologies, and assess their relevance within our manufacturing and assembly operations.Monitor and report key metrics, and devise improvement plans.Participate in and lead continual improvement activities such as 5S, SPS, and Six Sigma to enhance the quality system.Ensure timely completion of action items from SPS audits.Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems.Contribute to and lead Digital Quality implementation within the plant.Prepare Pareto charts and 8D reports as necessary.Contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving quality goals through project and process implementation.Essential SkillsProficient in Lean and Six Sigma techniques, as well as statistical methods.Mechanical aptitude is highly desired.Ability to lead and collaborate with others.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field is required.Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools, 5S, 8D, and Six Sigma tools is desired.Proficiency in PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, Process Auditing, Process Capability analysis, ISO standards, and Poka-Yoke design.Work Environment
The position is based in an office environment, including the manufacturing floor for collaboration meetings, and is 100% onsite at the facility in El Paso, Texas. The facility primarily produces custom-designed low voltage and medium voltage electrical products essential for safely distributing electrical power to various industrial, commercial, and residential settings. The El Paso site is part of a broader $300 million investment in U.S. manufacturing and is now the largest manufacturing operation in the United States, supporting energy transition and infrastructure development, with a focus on sectors like data centers and critical infrastructure.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
