Job Description
The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing essential quality support to the division, focusing on complaint investigation, resolution, and reporting. This role involves assisting with routine product evaluations, setting basic quality standards for both in-process and finished product inspections, and supporting the QA team in product testing, documentation, and vendor qualification activities.
ResponsibilitiesInvestigate customer and sales force complaints, ensuring accurate investigations and timely closures, while providing replacements, credits, or RGAs as required.Notify sales representatives and customers regarding investigation results.Run monthly or quarterly complaint trend reports per SOP.Coordinate stock checks and rework of products as needed in response to complaints.Identify actions required to prevent further complaints and initiate manufacturing and supplier corrective action reports.Follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented.Coordinate or perform inspections of new products or products from new vendors at branches and factories.Build appropriate product documentation (e.g., Device Master Records) in compliance with regulations to support Design Control and Risk Management activities.Create and maintain inspection procedures.Essential SkillsQuality assuranceAuditISO standardsQuality auditsValidationsNCR (Non-Conformance Report)Root cause analysisMedical device industry knowledgeAdditional Skills & QualificationsBS Degree in a relevant field3-5 years of experience in quality engineering1 year experience with validation processes1 year experience with auditsWork Environment
This position requires work in both an office and manufacturing setting. The role operates during the 1st shift, with typical hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
