Who will you be working with?

Our Wabtec Young Touchstone team combines knowledge of our customers’ product platforms/processes with industry expertise to deliver unparalleled product solutions. Here you’ll interact daily with all support team functions to solve problems and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions group Quality team, you will be responsible for providing services and support to internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure materials, processes and products meet or exceed specifications. This position will primarily be in Lexington, Tn, but will support both Young Touchstone business facilities located in Lexington and Jackson Tennessee respectively. The role reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. What will your typical day look like?

Frequent daily face-to-face interaction with employees in an operations environmentSupport Quality Technicians, Receiving Inspectors and Quality AuditorsSupport Quality Lab activitiesCreate periodic quality reportsWork with design and manufacturing engineering in the improvement of product and processesTroubleshoot root causes of scrap and customer complaintsInvestigate customer complaints in the field as requiredLead our Supplier Quality Process at the BU level. Investigating and solving supplier quality issuesTravel as needed perform supplier quality audits and to investigate supplier quality issuesEngage in Supplier Development and Continuous Improvement activities.Manage onboarding process for new suppliersManage supplier SCARs and associated back chargesEnsure controls are in place for transfer of parts between suppliersAssist in the development of corrective actions and support CAR processAssist in developing and maintaining process control plansSupport Customer PPAP processIdentifies and applies SPC Techniques to manufacturing and quality processes (where appropriate)Support Process/Product Audit Compliance processIdentifies and executes Continuous Improvement activitiesSupport Six Sigma activitiesDocument Control process

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between

$67,400.00-$96,000.00

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
