Role Summary:
The Quality Engineer will support the development, implementation and running of quality control programs and procedures with a focus on improving internal processes and supporting supplier quality. This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria. You’ll also address the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant and supplier facilities.
Responsibilities:
Monitor product portfolio KPIs (COPQ) and drive effective root cause corrective actions where appropriate to address gaps to agreed targets
Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify problems for management and stakeholders on the state of a process or product quality
Co-owner of the material review board (MRB) process.
Drive continuous improvement throughout the facility. This includes process and document changes.
Coordinate rework processes both internal and external to Flowserve
Collaborate with the department or other company departments to clarify / resolve issues techniques related to quality activities

Requirements:
BS or BA Degree in relevant field and or 5 years of relevant experience
3 years of experience in manufacturing quality department
Strong problem solving (8D, A3 or Six Sigma) skills
Familiarity with Lean tools and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Measurement Systems and drawing interpretation (GD&T)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills:
ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) Experience
Internal Auditor training / certification
Experience with PPAP/APQP/FMEA
Experience with Supplier Quality (Castings and Machining) a big plus
Experience with rotative equipment (pumps).
Experience with ISO 9001 calibration system management.
Cross Functional Team Leadership
ORACLE (ERP System) experience
Forklift license
