As a Quality Engineer you will plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. + Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. + Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. + Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. + Directs team members engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability. + Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities. + Other duties may be assigned. **Required Education and Experience:** + Bachelor Degree in Engineering plus 1 year or relevant experience (co-op experience will be considered). Combination of Education and equivalent work experience would also be considered + Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided. **Preferred Education and Experience:** + Bachelor Degree in Engineering plus 3 years of experience. + CMM programming experience. **Schedule** Assembly operates on a 4-day, 10-hour work-shift schedule. Salaried employees who are not front-line supervisors work five days to support this arrangement. They can choose between working extended hours from Monday to Thursday with a half day on Friday, or they can opt for full eight-hour workdays from Monday to Friday. **Why Work in the Rushville, IN** Our facility is located in Rushville, IN, which is less than an hour from Indianapolis. We manufacture new semi-hermetic compressors and take the worn-out, failed compressors out of the field and remanufacture them to “like new” status, as well as manufacture crank shafts. Approximately 200 employees work in Rushville and are an integral part of our organization.
