As a Quality Engineer you will plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. + Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. + Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. + Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. + Directs team members engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability. + Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities. + Other duties may be assigned. **Required Education and Experience:** + Bachelor Degree in Engineering plus 1 year or relevant experience (co-op experience will be considered). Combination of Education and equivalent work experience would also be considered + Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided. **Preferred Education and Experience:** + Bachelor Degree in Engineering plus 3 years of experience. + CMM programming experience. **Schedule** Assembly operates on a 4-day, 10-hour work-shift schedule. Salaried employees who are not front-line supervisors work five days to support this arrangement. We manufacture new semi-hermetic compressors and take the worn-out, failed compressors out of the field and remanufacture them to “like new” status, as well as manufacture crank shafts.
