This role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes for improvements usingvarious methods of testing and inspection, driving quality improvements through problem solving, andensure products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications, safety standards and design specifications. Oversees and facilitate the implementation of process Quality core tools (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.).
Essential functions of the job:
Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows. Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews, and audits. Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the YF iOS standards. Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices. Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues. Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses. Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes. Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.). Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews. Performs root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross functional team. Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies). Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, ControlPlan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).
Required Education:
Bachelor's Level Degree Quality, Industrial of Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience in Quality or Engineering related function. Equivalent work experience may also be considered forcertain positions.Required qualifications:
1 -3 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar(recent college graduate is considered acceptable). Less Than 1 Years of Experience within the automotive industry. Possesses strong interpersonal skillswith an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.Our Investment in You
