Under broad supervision, responsible for conducting internal quality controls concerning particular areas or company products to insure they fulfill given quality procedures and norms. Monitors and records inconsistencies with quality procedures and norms. Prepares quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedures changes. Records and analyzes customer claims. Prepares reports on rejected or defective products. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.

Role and ResponsibilitiesHelps support building a strong team that is cross functional across all DepartmentsEnsures customer and regulatory requirements are metMaintains and audits the effectiveness of the Quality Management SystemEnsures that our products meet established specifications and standardsInterprets drawings, blueprints, schematics and formulasPerforms testing of product and operational proceduresRecords and analyses test dataEvaluates data identifying non-conforming material and productsPresents data using charts, graphs and reportsRecommends modifications to specs and standards to achieve optimum qualityCreates and implements statistical control processesTrains associates in SPC proceduresTrains associates on Standardized WorkRecommends and supports business decisions that impact the performance of the operationReviews, inspects and analyzes incoming material to specifications and requirementsReceives, reviews, analyzes and documents customer complaints and/or returnsLeads cross functional teams that employ root cause analysis and other techniques to identify and permanently resolve problemsDrives quality culture to maintain ISO/TS certification, and favorable customer Quality ratingsDemands discipline and execution of proper proceduresLiaisons between Wilbert plastic services and customersInteracts with customers, suppliers, and internal Wilbert personnel to ensure specifications and standards are metQualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or 4-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, Kaizen and other modelsExperience as an automotive supplier preferredExperience in plastics industry preferredAll required WilbertU Courses based on job titlePreferred SkillsProven customer communication experience and ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all timesStrong technical skills and an understanding of statistics.Expertise in quality management systems and PPAP documentationAbove average proficiency in office systems software – word processing, spreadsheets, databaseAbove average ability to create and present data using charts, graphs and reportsSkills to interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and formulasStrong problem-solving skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to work independently or within a group setting
