Your role and responsibilities

We are currently looking for a new team member for the position of Quality Engineer at our Global Repair and Refurbishment Center for Industrial Robots (GRRC), which, in addition to purchasing, refurbishing, and reselling industrial robots, also manufactures and repairs spare parts.For more information about our Robotics division in the Czech Republic, click the link below: https://new.abb.com/products/robotics/csThe work model for the role is: hybrid.This role is contributing to the Robotic in Mošnov.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tResolving discrepancies and material inspection: Supporting production in resolving internal and supplier discrepancies, performing incoming material inspections, random material checks, and inspecting warehouse materials in case of discrepancies.•\tCollaboration with production and change management: Collaborating with production on change management, checking BOMs when introducing new products, validating processes and products during transfers.•\tQuality setup and control: Setting up incoming inspection in SAP, creating inspection instructions, controlling production quality, and performing final inspections.•\tDocumentation and audits: Preparing Quality Alerts, defect catalogs, creating internal documents, and collaborating on internal audits.•\tPlanning and improvement: Actively participating in the creation of control plans and FMEA, inspecting components with drawing documentation, and actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the role

\tExperience in production quality\tAbility to read drawing documentation\tEnjoys actively resolving production discrepancies and root cause analysis\tKnowledge of SAP is a great advantage\tSystematic, organized, reliable, and proactive person who understands that production quality is addressed on the shop floor, not in the office\tAbility to communicate in Czech and English – necessary for resolving supplier complaints
