What You will Do:
Provide technical support to internal and external customers as it relates to Escapes, Quality Management System Procedures, Regulations and Compliance.Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards & customer requirements.Provide timely disposition, correction, and closure of nonconforming material as Preliminary Reviewer (PR) member.Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for quality issues.Plan and review First Article Inspection (FAI).Lead or participate in internal and external quality system and/or process audits. Lead or participate in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.Engage with Engineering, and Operations in Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans reviews to identify potential product and process risks and mitigation actions.How You Will Get Here:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years prior experience, OR Advanced Degree in a related field, OR in absence of a degree, 5 years of relevant experience is requiredMust have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience with a Continuous Improvement System i.e. Lean, ACE, Six Sigma, etc.Experience in a Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Design Engineering role in operations and/or inspection (i.e. creating inspection methods, reviewing manufacturing plans, design for manufacturability activities)Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&TExperience using inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, pin gages, thread gages, etc.)Coachable and willing to be fully engaged in all aspects of Quality principles and activitiesExperience with AS 9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemsExperience in structured RCCA approaches (DIVE, 8D, fault tree, redX, etc.)Experience or knowledge of APQP and PPAP core elements
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Rome, NYYou must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Pay Range: $80,000-$85,000 a year
Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of this role, proof of US Citizenship is required upon hire.
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required
