Position Summary:
Develops QI curriculum and provides quality improvement advisement and support on all maternal safety initiatives. Actively participate in the development and implementation of specialty outreach and additional extension services in underserved areas where access to perinatal services is essential. Collaborate among team members to enhance service delivery and promote quality care for expectant mothers and their families. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* QUALITY ASSESSMENT - Identify and recommend areas of improvement through data research, statistical analysis; prepare, present and disseminate information to professional individuals, groups and organizations
* QUALITY - Assist with input and monitoring quality assurance programs; update and implement program plans, goals and objectives
* ANALYSIS - Provide baseline, benchmark and follow-up data/information analysis to facilitate process improvement; conduct and report on monitoring activities in assigned departments and areas
* COLLABORATION - Collaborate with providers, management and staff regarding operational issues of clinics, referrals, and programs
* OUTREACH - Develop and maintain positive external relationships with all New Mexico communities; network with referring physician offices and hospitals as appropriate to ensure program success
* REPORTS - Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to program operations as well as other special reports as necessary
* MEETINGS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Attend and participate in professional meetings and committees; stay abreast of new trends, innovations and regulatory oversight requirements
* ADMINISTRATION - Perform various administrative functions such as monitoring expenditures and preparing reports and correspondence; may participate in a variety of research projects to develop service plans; may propose changes to program policies and procedures
* CUSTOMER/STAFF RELATIONS - Establish and maintain good rapport and effective working relationships with patients, visitors, physicians and Hospital employees
* OTHER DUTIES - Perform other delegated administrative support activities as deemed necessary
