Quality Coordinator

Based out of the Electrical Division Edmonton (EDE) location, the Quality Coordinator will report to the Quality Analyst. The Quality Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the organization in the implementation, training, process improvement, and auditing of the quality management system. Essential Responsibilities + Coordinate documentation for the Quality Management System including turnover documentation, quality records and audits. + Ensure accuracy in the submittal of quality documentation to customers. + Assist with QA System procedure development & updates. + Coordinate the development and review of QA work instructions, policies, processes and procedures. + Support the planning, scheduling, and completion of Internal Audits. + Consolidate internal audit results and write final audit reports. + Support the development of Quality metrics such as DPMO, Escaping Defects, etc. + Utilize Powell’s Oracle based Non Conformance (NCR’s) System to ensure NCR’s are assigned to the appropriate department, and closed on a monthly basis. + Participate in Continuous Improvement and Risk Assessment Initiatives. + Regular interaction with: Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing Management, Purchasing & Shop Personnel. + External relationships include periodic interaction with customers and outside QA system auditors. + Read, interpret, and apply the ISO quality system standard. + Reception coverage, as required. + Other duties as required. Qualifications + A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. + Bachelor’s degree considered an asset (BA, BSc, etc.). + An understanding of ISO9001:2015 requirements, Six Sigma or similar Quality measurement practices. Working Conditions + Temperature controlled working environment. + Job requires working in an office setting. + Working in front of a computer for the majority of the shift. + Must wear personnel protective equipment at all times when required (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, safety harnesses as required). Physical Requirements + Maintaining body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs. + Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction in a repetitive manner. + Standing, walking, and speaking for long periods of time. + Typing, punching or applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm. + Perceiving size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with the fingertips.
