Quality Control Supervisor – Drive Excellence at a Leading Automotive Company Are you ready to lead quality operations at the heart of automotive performance? An exciting and forward-thinking automotive company is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to take charge of inspection excellence, team development, and process innovation. What You’ll Do + Lead and mentor a skilled QC team, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and procedures are followed with precision. + Coordinate inspection schedules, assign projects, and manage overtime to meet department goals. + Implement a visual system to prioritize inspections and streamline workflow. + Identify skill gaps and champion team development—especially in PIWEB software and CMM programming. + Drive performance through coaching, goal setting, and annual reviews while maintaining an up-to-date skills matrix. + Develop and standardize PIWEB reports and CMM programs for complex components. + Collaborate with Production and Engineering to report quality issues, analyze trends, and support root cause investigations. + Create and refine SOPs and work instructions for inspection, calibration, and maintenance processes. + Partner with cross-functional teams to improve the Drawing Change Request (DCR) process and support OnePlan integration. + Define best practices in metrology and ensure data integrity through robust inspection systems. + Maintain and optimize the PIWEB database for fast, insightful analysis. + Oversee QC software tools (Calypso, PIWEB), including upgrades, licensing, and vendor coordination. + Manage calibration services and ensure accurate documentation. + Communicate critical issues to leadership and drive continuous improvement initiatives. What You Bring + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). + Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or quality environment. + Expert-level proficiency in Zeiss Calypso software and CMM programming. + Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5, ISO), Gage R&R, and calibration techniques. + Skilled in CAD/CAM and inspection software tools. + Proficient in PIWEB database management and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Project, PowerPoint). + Ability to assess manufacturability and define effective inspection strategies. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $112000.00 - $180000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
