Responsibilities The Opportunity Leads and supports E2E Product Quality Programs and Comanufacturing Quality and Food Safety system compliance across LATAM sites. Verifies that Quality & Food Safety System (QAS) is implemented in all LatAm CO Plants, to ensure product consistency follows product design plans. Verifies that approved Co-Manufacturers demonstrate compliance with the established requirements, in order to conduct business in LATAM. Ensures raw materials and reception process is performing according to our Pepsico standards, with the correct analysis and actions taken upon a deviation, coordinating Supplier Performance Management Governance with multifunctional teams to mitigate and prevent risks. Supports Sensory Evaluation Programs in coordination with FSQA and Manufacturing sites to ensure proper calibration, resources, scope and methodology is followed to deliver high quality products. Your Impact As SC QC Sr Manager your scope would consist of Implementation of the Global Quality and Safety programs for Co-Manufacturing sites, acting as a liaison with the operations for its implementation and execution, complying with the Pepsico values. Apply Quality Audit System plan to verify internal protocols area followed by CO sites, and support Product Quality strategy to meet product design, having a continuous improvement plan to reduce quality complaints or any other defect in the E2E process, ensuring preventive actions are taken accordingly. Audit and evaluate Co-Man Plants, establishing relevant performance metrics for PepsiCo quality and Food Safety requirements. Verify that the specifications for ingredients, packaging material, finished product, formulation, analytical methods to be used, target parameters for product control have been provided to Co-Man & CO Plants to meet the quality plan and replicate the product design since the first run of the product and through all its life cycle. Participate in the scaling of the product (as support to the R&D areas) at the industrial level in the Co-Man & CO Plants, in the industrial tests, first production, commissioning and qualification of the finished product following the CQV process. Receive the final design from the R&D areas that the new or current Co-Man & CO Plants will manufacture for PepsiCo. Also verify that Co-Man & CO Plants can replicate the design in a timely manner. Verify that the internal and third party audits necessary for the review and operation of the production sites are performed, monitoring its execution. Provides support for the implementation of internal audits Provide technical support to CoMan & CO Plants when differences between the specification and the product manufactured by them are found, to ensure compliance. Follow up and verify action plans resulting from the indicators, audits, consumer complaints, process controls non-conformances or any other key metric out of control noted, leading forums such as E2E track, Supplier Performance Management, COP for Quality & Comans to coordinate teams, strategic projects and drive operational excellence. Ensure Co-Mans communicate to PepsiCo any change in its plant, raw materials, processes, and those situations that involve production, quality and food safety issues. Ensure technical and legal specifications revisions and compliance for imported and exported products according to the annual innovation/business agenda. Provide support for the implementation and execution of FSMA requirements at Coman sites if required to ensure compliance. Provide technical training for all LATAM sites related to Product Quality processes and system, to guarantee proper calibration and execution, as required by internal and local standards. Coordinate CQA, PQMD plans and give guidance for all Sensory evaluations aligned to consumer drivers, ensuring products meet their expectations and a winning product is in the market. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Education Degree level in Food Science, Food Engineering or a related discipline. Masters level desirable. Experience 10+ years of experience in Quality positions, R&D area and Production roles with proved ability to implement Quality programs in Food Manufacturing facilities and warehouses. Fully proficient in English and Spanish, and basic understanding of Portuguese. In-depth knowledge and experience of food regulatory compliance. A detailed knowledge of food manufacturing processes and an understanding of food industry quality management systems. Great focus on delivering results, proactively identifying, communicating and preventing risks to the business Great networking skills and collaboration with different sectors and functional groups with a high level of negotiation skills and decision making Strategic and critical thinking Knowledge in metrology, laboratory operations, system quality, food safety, HACCP, sampling protocols, experimental design, traceability, general chemistry, statistical process control, intermediate-advanced computer and digital skills (Power BI an power apps) Provide leadership and guidance in Quality E2E processes Provide accurate technical advice to support risk assessment decisions related to Quality Control. Strong communicator – able to clearly articulate strategy and engage at all levels. Ability to present information in a rational, structured and concise manner. Previous experience of collaboration with different work and / or functional groups. Builds strong relationships quickly, across functions and at all levels, internally and externally. Able to manage a diverse team located in different countries, as well as external teams with different environment and background. Experience to balance local, sector and global objectives. Demonstrates in depth knowledge of external certification standards and industry best practices to develop strategies and tools for the PepsiCo Co- Manufacturing. In depth knowledge of the PepsiCo’s Global Co-Man Program to ensure effective delivery of the global agenda across all LATAM region.
