You provide hands-on assistance to support the operation and goals of the laboratory by planning and conducting experiments and applying your understanding to analyze results. With guidance, you plan and implement assigned projects.
How you will contribute
You will perform a range of analyses, prepare and maintain standard equipment and chemicals required for running of an analytical laboratory, support laboratory activities while ensuring compliance to the appropriate internal and external standards, and capture and report data with technical rigor and accuracy. To succeed in this role, you will maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment and be proficient in generic and specific software packages.

What you need to know about this position:

As Quality Control Specialist - Microbiology, you will be responsible for testing of ingredients, work in progress and finished products, and the reporting of results to the relevant stakeholders.
Sample raw material and Finished products for microbiological analysis, maintaining accurate records using the SAP/KPA system.Performs the Environmental Monitoring of the production plant and personnel, ensuring health safety and compliance with ISO 9001:22000 standards and local legislative requirements.In co-ordination with site Sanitation Specialist, supports and carry out the cleaning validation of the production plant as per the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and cleaning methods implemented.Manages the inventory of reagents/microbiological media in laboratory, calibration of the equipment, application of accident prevention regulations and all other day-to-day routine operations of the laboratory.Review and acquiring necessary approvals for control plans for the materials testing in the plant, PEMs, non-PEM programs at the plant, water and air at the plant.Correct use of validated laboratory methods to determine, update and interpret their results according to Mondelēz International requirements and requirements of legislation.Participate in proficiency testing schemeTimely processing and transmission of information that could affect health, microbiological cleanliness and food safety, or threaten the intended disposal of final products.Coordinates the supplier claims for Raw and Packaging Material Providing regular update about the status of supplier claims with necessary escalation of the problematic claims to Plant Leadership Team, Supplier Quality, Procurement.Coordinate sensory program following Mondelez requirements.Data analysis and results reporting;Troubleshooting based on micro results - interaction with plant personnel;Provide cover and assistance for other laboratory staff as required;Performs any other duties as assigned by the Senior Lab Technician and Quality Manager.What extra ingredients you will bring:
Proven microbiology working experience;Good knowledge of aseptic techniques;Good understanding of Laboratory Health & Safety, including handling of microbial cultures;Computer literacy, good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team or alone and flexibility with respect to the working hours would be advantageous.Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or Food Technology.
