You provide hands-on assistance to support the operation and goals of the laboratory by planning and conducting experiments and applying your understanding to analyze results. With guidance, you plan and implement assigned projects.
How you will contribute
You will perform a range of analyses, prepare and maintain standard equipment and chemicals required for running of an analytical laboratory, support laboratory activities while ensuring compliance to the appropriate internal and external standards, and capture and report data with technical rigor and accuracy. To succeed in this role, you will maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment and be proficient in generic and specific software packages.

What you need to know about this position:
Quality Control Specialist (Analytical LaboratoryTechnician) you will be responsible for testing of incoming raw ingredients, work in progress and finished products, and reporting of results to the relevant people
To support the analytical aspect ensuring that raw and pack materials, process and finished goods quality controls are adhered to upholding high standards following Mondelez and Regulatory requirements as applicable.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
- Conduct and perform routine tests on incoming raw material, in-process and finished product.
- Data Analysis- routinely analyze test results, interpret the data and report on the trends and patterns to identify risks and areas of improvement.
Equipment Maintenance- Maintain lab equipment in hygienic and handled as per OEM recommendations.
- Equipment Calibration- ensure that equipment is calibrated and verifications as per routine to ensure data and results are accurate and reliable.
Record Keeping- Meticulous record keeping both manual and online as applicable.
- Communication- verbal and written communications of results with suggested corrective actions taken (where there are gaps).
- Investigate process Out of specifications and ensure process is back to specification.
- Identify and implement productivity opportunities.
- Would be required to perform some basic micro analysis.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Science, Food Science or relevant experience in laboratory experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Microbiological knowledge will be an added advantage.

Functional Competencies:
• Practical application of GLP and Safety
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001, FSSC22000, PAS96 requirements
• Advanced PC user (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point,, Microsoft Outlook)
• SAP knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of IL6S principles and practical experience in implementation.
