Our client, a leader in the Medical Supply industry, is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join their team. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be part of the Quality Control department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Control Specialist

Location: Cockeysville, MD

Pay Range: $27.10 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift

What's the Job?

Perform microbiological tests on a variety of plated/liquid culture media products and interpret data to ensure product quality. Conduct visual inspections of physical samples and paper records while employing standard microbiology laboratory techniques. Maintain aseptic technique and ensure a high level of organization and detail in all tasks. Operate laboratory instruments of low to moderate complexity, such as pH meters and analytical balances. Support product inspection for ongoing investigations and projects as needed.

What's Needed?

A degree in Science or Microbiology; a Bachelor's is preferred, but an Associate's with relevant experience is acceptable. Ability to perform standard microbiological techniques including pipetting and inoculation methods. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds independently. Willingness to work in a laboratory environment, including adherence to safety policies for Biosafety Level 3 testing.
