GENERAL DESCRIPTION\n
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring quality requirements are achieved for both delivered product and service provision.\n
DUTIES\n\nSupport the company's internal quality goals and objectives.\nConduct inspections of both completed and on-going modifications and aircraft maintenance activities.\nEnsures compliance with all applicable standards, specifications, and quality requirements.\nDocuments inspections in accordance with contract requirements\nPerform First Article Inspections, interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints, be skilled in the use of precision measurement equipment, and knowledgeable in aviation and avionics terminology.\nOperate and maintain fuel lower explosive level (LEL) monitors, borescopes, weight\/balance scales, micrometer, various gages, and other related equipment.\nInspects, tests, or measures materials, products, installations, and work to verify conformance to specifications using standard mechanical measurement devices to include: Calipers, Ball Gauges, Radius Gauges, etc.\nInspects, tests, or measures materials, products, installations, and work to verify conformance to specifications using standard electrical measurement devices to include: multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.\nWork closely with production leads and supervisors to recommend necessary corrective actions.\nKeeper of the standards, promotes safety practices and adherence to procedures notifies management of violations.\nPerform Quality oversight on aircraft ejection seats, aircraft air conditioning systems, canopy systems, canopy jettison\/fracturing systems, fire warning\/extinguishing systems, OBOGS repair\/troubleshooting, aircraft environmental systems maintenance, and aircraft pressurization systems troubleshoot oxygen systems, repair and test oxygen regulators and Liquid Oxygen (LOX) converters removed from the aircraft\nOther duties as assigned\n\n
EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\n\nHigh school diploma or graduate equivalency diploma\nEight (8) years' experience in aircraft maintenance\nThree (3) years progressive experience in Quality Assurance and Control\nPreviously qualified as Quality Assurance Representative (QAR), or (CDQAR) preferred\nCOMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 knowledge and experience\nExperience on SJU-17 Martin-Baker ejection seats or equivalent\nMust have completed the appropriate T\/M\/S Navy Skill Specialty Class \"C\" school for AME or USMC, USCG equivalent.\nExperience in the fitting and rigging of aircraft canopy, canopy drive and locking mechanisms\nExpertise in inspection procedures and have experience working in AS9110 environments\nAble to understand and interpret requirements of Technical Orders 1-1A-1, 1-1A-8, 1-1B-40, 1-1A-14, and 1-1A-15\nAble to understand and interpret requirements of standards AS9110, DCMA 8210.1C-D\nDoD\/Military Technical Training desired\nProficient with Microsoft Office products to create, modify and update work instructions, test and inspection documents, reports, charts, checklists and databases.\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance\n\n
