Quality Control (QC) Technician
Job Title: Quality Control Technician Job Description: As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include conducting pre-operation inspections, performing X-ray and metal detector testing, and maintaining detailed quality documentation. You will also be responsible for conducting dimension and integrity checks on packaging, verifying ingredient codes on labels, and ensuring proper sealing and specification compliance. Additionally, you will conduct checks for foreign materials and hold production lines if necessary to maintain quality standards. Responsibilities + Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure all equipment and materials meet safety standards. + Perform X-ray and metal detector testing to identify any potential contaminants. + Execute quality checks and maintain thorough quality documentation. + Conduct dimension and integrity checks on boxes and packaging. + Verify code matching of ingredients on labels for accuracy. + Perform seal checks to ensure product integrity. + Check specifications, including best by dates, to ensure compliance. + Inspect for foreign materials and take action if any are found. + Hold production lines when necessary to address quality issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or equivalent quality experience in the food industry. + Understanding of HACCP and critical control points is a plus. + Strong attention to detail, high level of integrity, and excellent time management skills. + Ability to multitask and communicate effectively. + Emphasis on honesty and accountability. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
