Job Title: Constuction Quality Control Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to oversee and ensure the quality and safety of our federal projects. The role involves managing subcontractors and coordinating with government customers to uphold standards in quality control and safety.
Responsibilities
+ Manage subcontractors and collaborate daily with government customers, focusing on quality control and safety.
+ Plan, assign, and direct work in accordance with the project's scope.
+ Inspect ongoing work to ensure it meets quality standards and applicable codes.
+ Manage scheduling and oversee the successful commissioning of newly installed systems.
+ Review project specifications and oversee the hiring and, if necessary, termination of subcontractors.
+ Develop and implement Quality Control and Health & Safety procedures for federal projects.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5+ years experience working directly with government agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, Smithsonian, or GSA.
+ Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ USACE QCM Certification is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ OSHA 30 HR certification is highly preferred.
+ Experience in construction and quality control management.
+ Knowledge of federal construction standards and procedures.
Work Environment
The role is based on-site at Lahey Hall at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. You will work alongside a Site Safety & Health Officer, Superintendent, and a Project Manager. The team is part of a small, tight-knit crew striving to establish a strong presence in the federal arena. This position offers ample opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Annapolis, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $62.50/hr.
