Quality Manager (QA/QC) Location: Houma, LA Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Or similar Field) or 10 Years of Shipbuilding experience + ISO Auditor Certified Job Responsibilities: Position will be responsible for providing Quality oversight (including vendor QMS review/adherence) + Communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—with all stakeholders. + Demonstrate a strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. + Read and interpret customer design/build requirements, including purchase orders, change orders, drawings, and specifications. + Serve as the primary point of contact for quality concerns with customer oversight representatives. + Review and implement updates to all quality management documents relevant to current projects. + Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. + Plan, schedule, and conduct Quality Management System (QMS) audits of all suppliers. + Apply working knowledge of compliance surveillance requirements based on project scope. + Identify and manage all quality- and project-related risks. + Train and oversee production line staff in effective production practices and quality assessment procedures. + Lead and assist in investigations of procedural and process violations. + Manage the Corrective Action Program and drive continuous improvement initiatives. + Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and data trends. + Prepare and deliver reports to senior leadership, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement. + Hands-on experience in welding, fitting, or waterfront operations is a plus.
