We are looking to add a Quality Control Manager to our team. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about developing leading-edge electronics for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems, we would like to hear from you.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead and develop a team of quality engineers and inspectors to ensure operational execution and excellence in productionHire and onboard quality control personnel to support the needs of rapidly expanding production operationsDetermine and distribute assignments, responsibilities, and priorities for quality control personnelManage all aspects of production quality control, ensuring adherence to industry standards, company procedures, customer requirements, and AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirementsCreate, implement, review, and maintain quality documentation including written processes, procedures, inspection criteria, work instructions, production routings, etc. Drive root cause analysis and failure review for nonconformances and implement effective corrective actions to eliminate recurrenceDevelop, drive, and assess quality objectives, measurable metrics, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure business systems (PLM, ERP, and MES) and tools are effective and available to support quality and production needsPerform and support internal and external auditsEstablish and maintain a training and certification programSupport continued compliance with all QMS requirementsJOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or a related technical field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management role. Deep understanding and experience in establishing and maintaining AS9100 Quality Management Systems for production environmentsExpertise in root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action implementation. Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting engineering documentation, including drawings and schematics.Experience with aerospace and electronics manufacturingDemonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsCesiumAstro considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
