Title: Quality Conformance Coordinator

Required Shift:

12 Hour Rotating Shift

2-2-3 Rotation

Job Purpose:

As Food Quality Coordinator at Mars, you will collaborate with the operators in the value stream on root cause analysis and escalates to support departments or areas as required, use existing procedures to solve standard problems, analyze information and standard practices to make judgements and recommendations.  

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED3 years of work experience in a food manufacturing environmentExperience within a manufacturing environment and/or previous quality control experience in a food-related industryUnderstanding of computer systems (Ex: MS Office, inventory systems, SAP, etc)

Physical Requirements:

Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical degree or certifications3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing site managing quality and food safety management systems responsible position related to food safety or quality and food safety management systemBS degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, ChemistryAdvanced understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Systems (HACCP)Knowledge of food microbiology, food safety, manufacturing processes and food lawsStrong understanding of all GMP’s, PPE’s and quality checks

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

Key interface between R&D related activities and the value stream, including communication of value stream initiatives to site R&D communityAccountability for managing an effective corrective/preventive plan, including verification of effective implementationQuality lead in value stream routine management meetings and quality reviews Support and coverage of the onsite Quality LabMember of the GMP Audit TeamCollect and ship requested micro samplesCoaches, trains and guides associates in operations to improve the effectiveness and compliance to site quality policies.Rotate with an operations team
