The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.

Position Overview:
As a Quality Engineer CO-OP, you will support the Quality Department withing our facility ensuring product compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal quality expectations. This position offers exposure to quality engineering processes in a high-volume stamping facility. The CO-OP will assist with root cause analysis, data collection, quality documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role you will:
Assist in monitoring and maintaining quality standards for stamped steel parts used in EV production.Support daily quality checks, inspections, and audits on manufacturing lines.Collect and analyze data related to part dimensions, material properties and process capability.Support PPAP documentation.Work with cross functional teams to improve quality processes and reduce material scrap. Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Currently, pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.No relocation is provided. Must reside within 50 miles of Carol Stream, Illinois. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship on an ongoing basis.Preferred Qualifications:
Completed coursework or prior internship experience in quality engineering, manufacturing processes or automotive production.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work with mathematical concepts and ability to read technical drawings.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.Skills:Position Criteria:
