What You will Do:
Identify defects or inconsistencies in materials and products and report findings per established proceduresMaintaining accurate records of inspections, tests, and results.Identify defects or inconsistencies in materials and products and report findings to the customer’s management team.Generating reports on quality findings and recommendations.Identifying and troubleshooting quality issues and defectsContributing to the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and collaborating with other teams to resolve quality issuesAnalyzing data collected during inspections and tests to identify trends and patterns, and reporting findings to relevant personnel. Ensuring that products and processes comply with industry regulations, company standards, and customer requirementsProcess Quality Notification of non-conforming materialDisposition of parts that have been determined to be scrapWork Experience
How you will get here:
Associate degree in a technical field or 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, aerospace manufacturing, operations, or automotiveExperience leading or mentoring teams in a regulated, technical environment.Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, including GD&T, part drawings, and gaging tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.).Experience with SAP is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data entry systems.Thorough knowledge of SAPStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal teams and customers.The ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Rome, NY
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required
