As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will be part of a team that is responsible for testing solutions that are vital to Dollar Tree and Family Dollar.  This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, being a part of a collaborative group, and enjoys working on a variety of products


Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate/Execute Test plans and scripts based on the project artifacts (business, functional and non-functional requirements) created by development and business teamPerform data validation using queries, SQL and other toolsTrack and report the various defects and map them to the various development life cycles of the projectWork closely with project and solutions teams to develop and enforce quality standardsConfirm functional capabilities of final products and solutionsConfirm stability and performance (response time, etc.) of final products and solutionsParticipate in and contribute during defect triage callsUpdate and maintain Daily and Weekly QA Status reports and metricsProactively raise, escalate and communicate quality issuesWillingness to learn new technologies, tools and applications to support the business
Required Qualifications1+ years testing experienceExperience in functional testing techniques including system acceptance and regression testingExperience using automation and performance toolsExperience with Microsoft Excel and other office products and defect tracking toolsStrong analytical and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with other teamsExperience with various testing life cycles but not limited to system testing, integration testing, User acceptance testingKnowledge of testing methodologies based on its relevance to the development life cycleAbility to work independently
Desired QualificationsPrior work experience in Retail domainExperience with VBScript and automated test tools including Quick Test ProfessionalExperience working Agile project processExperience testing applications running on iSeries
