Quality Assurance Technician I

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily use of ERP for data entry, transaction history, disposition and material managementAudit various parts characteristics per specification plans, may include but is not limited to:Receiving inspection of raw materials and parts.Production line quarantined parts inspection and disposition.Re-worked parts inspection prior to release for production.Prepare Non-Conforming Material, Inventory, Scrap, and other reports as required.Support production by teaching operators how to correctly use appropriate tools and other quality equipment.Make recommendations for process improvements.Perform sorting of non-conforming materials as required.Verify final product meets documented specifications within established tolerances.Disposition nonconforming product using proper quarantine and hold tagging procedures.Maintain Calibration of quality inspection equipment.Provide help with rework projects as the quality inspector for completed rework. Write rework procedures when required.Maintain or input quality data/files as required.Communicate to appropriate personnel any necessary issues, findings, etc.Develop, document, and train others on inspection procedures as necessary.Maintain and use SharePoint document management system as required.Attend company provided training.Flexibility to work overtime as required.Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulationsPerform duties outside assigned area, as required.This job requires you to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, reach overhead, perform strong pinch and grip, push-pull up to 200 lbs on carts, and stand/walk up to 10 hours per day.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Technical diploma or equivalent training plus experience required.Working knowledge in a variety of technical disciplines including electronics, mechanics, and programming.Must be familiar with material properties, tolerances, dimensions, inspection equipment, and quality terminology.Experience with hand tools and basic gauging equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) preferred.Experience working in a production / Product development environment.Must have working knowledge of PC software programs (i.e. Word, Excel, SharePoint, databases, email).Advanced knowledge such as constructing cell formulas, simple macro and query writing preferred.Working knowledge of ERP and other business management systems preferred.Strong oral and written communication required, including but not limited to; ability to write technical documents, ability to train and communicate technical subject matter to othersMust have a performance history of quality conscious work, good attendance and safe work habits.Must have flexibility to cover other shifts when needed.Must be able to manage conflict and solve problems independently.Must have demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.Must be responsible, enthusiastic, trustworthy, and able to work with minimum supervision.

Base Pay Range:

$20.35 - $24.90
