Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will support and enforce SQF, QA, GMP, HACCP, Safety policies and procedures, and production needs. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring 'Food Safety and Quality'. You will assist the Quality Assurance Department with swabbing, coli form plating, calibrating, antibiotic testing, and various laboratory functions.

ResponsibilitiesConduct daily QA audits.Monitor ponds for compliance.Perform micro plating, WPN, CO2, and antibiotic confirmation testing.Conduct powder packaging seal checks.Pull customer samples as needed.Clean and maintain laboratory areas.Care for and maintain company tools and laboratory equipment.Update quality and procedure manuals, calibrations, wastewater reports, swabbing and air quality monitoring.Follow all safety and working rules.Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, management, customers, vendors, and employees.Contribute to a quality environment with a positive attitude.Demonstrate excellent regular full-time attendance in support of company objectives.Use initiative and judgment to make decisions in the company's best interests.Essential SkillsExperience in quality, microbiology, and laboratory functions for 5 years if no degree is possessed.Familiarity with working in a quality department, particularly in a food plant (milk) with a focus on microbiology.Compliance and sample management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust have an LS degree. If no degree, 5 years of lab/QA experience is required.Work Environment

This role is based in the plant's quality department. You will be working in a collaborative environment with a focus on maintaining a harmonious and conducive atmosphere. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
