Quality Assurance Technician

Shift: 3rd Shift (10pm-6:30am), must be open to working weekends and holidays

Description

Support and enforce SQF / QA, GMP, HACCP, Safety policies and procedures, and production needs. “Food Safety and Quality” are the responsibilities of this position. A Quality Assurance Technician will provide assistance to the Quality Assurance Department with swabbing, coli form plating, calibrating, antibiotic testing, and various laboratory functions.

Essential Functions:

• Daily QA audit.

• Monitor ponds.

• Micro plating, WPN, CO2, and antibiotic confirmation testing.

• Powder packaging seal checks.

• Pull customer samples.

• Clean and maintain clean lab areas.

• Responsible for care and maintenance of company tools laboratory equipment.

• Updating quality & procedure manuals, calibrations, wastewater reports, swabbing and air quality monitoring.

• Follow all safety and working rules.

• Must have the ability to get along with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and conducive work environment.

• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality environment.

• Excellent regular full-time attendance in support of company objectives.

• Use initiative and judgment in making decisions, keeping with California Dairies, Inc.’s best interests.

Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

A.A. or B.S. in Science, Food, or related field

Ability to stand for long periods (8-12 hours)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
