Location:
Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The Plant manufactures 2-piece and 3-piece steel cans for the food industry. There are approximately 95 employees at the Hanover location. The Hanover Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to York, PA, Gettysburg, PA and the Maryland border.
Position overview:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for working with the operations and quality teams to ensure adherence to quality specifications and standards throughout the manufacturing process. This position is scheduled 5am-5pm on a yearly rotational schedule. The starting hourly rate is $23.6773 with progression increases.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician’s responsibilities would include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process at proscribed intervals Identify non-conforming product and react according to quality system or plan requirements Retain out-of-spec products per quality plans Communicate effectively quality data to team members or appropriate contacts; including but not limited to, QA Team, Manufacturing Supervisor, Superintendent, etc. Able to understand quality data and charts recorded by quality systems Analyze and interpret trends and conditions as recorded by quality systems Help identify root cause(s) for non-conforming product apply of statistical problem-solving techniques Provide feedback to team members Work with operations and quality to manage sorting or push on product on the shift Manage shift chargebacks Record all information for food safety investigations Provide knowledge of upper and lower control limits Be familiar with SOPs to help sustain compliance and offer process improvement suggestions Participate in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Audits and support site GMP compliance Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
