The QA Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Mill Technical Director in all aspects of the QA department, including but not limited to the following:
Ensuring consistent use of safe work practices in all aspects of the work performed by self and othersSupporting and guiding the use of Continuous Process Improvement and Statistical Process Control methodologiesImplementing and supporting the plant’s Quality Management System (QMS)Providing oversight of the day to day operation of the Technical DepartmentMaintaining routine quality records and product performance trendsProviding direction to QA technicians in the monitoring, recording, analyzing and reporting of the plant process and product test dataTraining and developing QA technicians, including direction setting, coaching, mentoring and skill developmentPromoting Quality amongst production teams and providing direction and guidance as requiredSupporting and leading various process and operational projectsCollaborating with other facilities to share best practices and to support the achievement of all safety, quality, environmental and production targetsTake advantage of this Limited opportunity to join the World’s premier timber, land and forest products company

Candidates must have completed or be close to completing the degree, with a commitment to finish it soon.Minimum 5 years of Wood Products Operations/QA experience preferredCommitment to safety – demonstrated record of understanding and using common safety processes; ability to analyze, asses and control risk in a reliable and systematic wayData driven – using data and statistical methods to develop strategies and translate them into objectives, action plans, and timelines with follow-upAbility to effectively manage and prioritize time while handling multiple tasksStrong problem solving, troubleshooting and issue resolution skillsExcels at managing change – leads and enables others to adapt to and anticipate changeExcellent interpersonal, written/verbal, and presentation skillsStrong background in MS office and statistical analysis softwareFlexibility to support 24/7 operation, which includes anytime response support and weekend/holiday work if necessaryWillingness and desire to be considered for potential future leadership positionsLimited travel involvedCompensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $88,500 - $128,500 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
