QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT)
Summary You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (Aircraft) in the Naval Test Wing Pacific, VX-30 Maintenance Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the development of plans and procedures for configuration control, and the management of aircraft project modifications in accordance with NAVAIRINST 13050.7 series documents. You will ensure project modifications are compliant and adhere to government regulations and quality standards. You will verify content and completeness of installation data for modifications, engineering changes, and new configurations in order to ensure the maintenance team can comply with their intent. You will make recommendations to engineering personnel and contractors concerning airworthiness of modification(s)/installation. You will ensure that the technical requirements and quality control standards and methods are clearly defined early in the development cycle of the Aircraft Modification Request(s) (AMR). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Quality Assurance Specialist (Aircraft). Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Utilizing a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices of the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP); (2) Utilizing techniques, work practices, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance, configuration control, and aircraft modification procedures as related to Aviation Maintenance; and (3) Utilizing contracted support services personnel and the management thereof.
