Quality Assurance Specialist
Job DescriptionUltra Electronics, ICE is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Quality Team. This role is responsible for providing support in accordance with documented procedures and practice for the development, implementation, improvement, and continuous reinforcement of established quality and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will exercise sound judgement, will be an excellent team player, and be committed to quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

Calibrate tools on-site per calibration procedures. Send out external calibrations and track calibration dates to ensure test equipment is maintained appropriately.Perform receiving inspections on incoming parts as needed to ensure conformity to customer requirements.  This may include the use of a microscope and various tools including gauges and calipers.Notate inspection results by completing checklists, reports and logs, summarizing re-work and scrap information, and inputting data into quality database.Ensure paperwork is completed as necessary, including scanning physical paperwork to the appropriate database to be electronically maintained and archived for offsite storage by quality assurance.Generate First Article Inspection ReportsAdhere to policy and procedure requirements for compliance and contract specifications.Manage, as necessary, all non-conforming material received from suppliers or customers and determine the actions required, including, but not limited to, liaising internally and with the relevant customer or supplier to identify the root cause and the corrective and preventative actions.Perform internal process audits.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Repairman Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

Quality Assurance experienceQuality Inspector role in similar or relevant industryManufacturing experienceMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.

Physical Requirements:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Frequently lift or move 10 lbs. and occasionally lift or move 30 lbs.Controlled hand dexterity for working with tweezers, and tiny components.Controlled hand-eye coordination for manipulating tiny components under a microscope.
