The Quality team is responsible for managing the quality management system assuring the quality of operational activities in bids, projects and products. Beside this, is supporting the maturity and performance of the organization and the operational teams with the aim of improving customer satisfaction and driving competitiveness.
About your future job
The Quality Assurance Manager is the representative of Quality within the Industry Competence Centre with the aim of improving the quality and maturity of production, supporting both operational and the management teams. You ensure that available processes, methods, practices and tools are reliable, implemented and deployed, that employees are trained to the required level of competence and that the discipline is organized such that it is able to meet its commitments, now and in the future.
You will serve as a “go-to” person for management and operational teams, providing help in applying processes, practices and tools, monitoring quality on various levels, identifying risks and (help) solving problems structurally in the context of our Industry processes. You empower the teams to take responsibility for managing quality on a daily basis. You will support the management through advising on strengths, weaknesses and risks within the organization, ensuring an effective and continuous improvement loop through lessons learned, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 9S etc., and support the definition and execution of improvement plans. You are thus a linking pin between management and operational teams.
You are part of the Naval Quality organization and also a member of the quality team within Industry. In this context you work closely with the other Quality Assurance Managers and Quality Control representatives throughout Industry.
In this role you will have the opportunity to gain thorough knowledge of the Naval domain, the products and the processes. This job can serve as a stepping stone towards a (more senior) position within any one of our operational or staff departments.
