**100136BR** **Job Title:** Quality Assurance Manager - Erlanger, KY **Department/Function:** Health, Safety & Environment **Job Description:** **Quality Assurance Manager - Erlanger, KY** **MAIN FUNCTION:** The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification requirements within a flavor food manufacturing facility. This position manages the QA team, oversees day-to-day quality operations, and supports the implementation and maintenance of the FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 management systems. The QA Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives and ensures that processes and products meet established standards throughout production. **DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:** + Lead and supervise daily activities of the QA Technicians to ensure proper execution of quality checks, testing, documentation, and compliance. + Manage the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. + Ensure timely review and approval of batch records, COAs, non-conformances, and deviations. + Oversee incoming raw material inspections, in-process checks, and final product release procedures. + Participate in internal and external audits, including certification audits and customer visits. + Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs). + Develop and deliver training for QA staff on quality systems, food safety, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs). + Monitor key quality performance indicators and report trends and improvements to the Site Quality & Food Safety Manager. + Support product traceability, allergen control, and sanitation validation programs. + Ensure proper documentation practices and record retention as per FSSC and ISO requirements. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field. + Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a QA role within the food or flavor manufacturing industry. + Strong working knowledge of FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 standards. + Experience leading or supervising quality teams. + Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, food safety regulations, and internal auditing. + Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management software is a plus.
