Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager serves as a critical member of the multidisciplinary team, overseeing quality-related activities across healthcare communities.  This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care through comprehensive quality monitoring, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. The Quality Assurance Manager provides leadership, support, and direction while working collaboratively with community management and regional teams to develop and implement quality processes.

This is a remote position that will require up to 30% travel.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Monitoring & Improvement

Develop and implement plans of correction for identified deficiencies and quality issuesConduct data analytic interpretation to identify trends and areas for improvementEvaluate monthly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) findings and action plan developmentPrepare comprehensive monthly reporting of quality trends and outcomes for senior leadershipMonitor and analyze infection control data and vaccine compliance ratesCoordinate post-elopement calls and follow-up procedures

Performance Management

Develop, implement, and oversee Community Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)Conduct along with the regional team a Root Cause Analyses for clinical adverse events and near-miss incidentsDevelop and monitor action plans to reduce risk of recurrenceIdentify potential risk areas and develop systems to minimize adverse events

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

Facilitate annual survey preparation and aggregate dataOversee performance improvement plan from results

Technology & Documentation

Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for quality monitoring and reportingDemonstrate proficiency in healthcare technology platforms and quality management softwareMaintain accurate documentation of all quality assurance activitiesGenerate reports and analytics using various technology platformsRequired Qualifications

Education & Licensing:

Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Minimum five (5) years' experience as a Professional Nurse

Experience:

At least 3 years of nursing management experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or long-term care environmentsMinimum 2 years of experience in performance/quality Improvement activitiesMultisite experience as a regional or specialist is preferred
