The AS9100 Lead Auditor is responsible for leading the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100 standards. This role ensures organizational adherence through internal audits, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration, while promoting a culture of quality and operational excellence.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS in accordance with AS9100 requirements.Ensure QMS processes are effectively documented, implemented, and controlled.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and compliance.Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits to assess QMS effectiveness and compliance.Identify non-conformities, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions.Document audit findings, generate reports, and track corrective action implementation.Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action planning with process owners.Ensure the quality, safety, reliability, and maintainability of programs, subcontractors, and suppliers.Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation through continuous risk management.Investigate anomalies and failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Provide guidance and leadership to quality teams and cross-functional personnel.Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.Train internal auditors and staff on AS9100 standards and audit techniques.Coordinate and support external audits, including AS9100 certification audits.Interface with program managers, engineering, operations, customers, and regulatory bodies on quality matters.Essential SkillsExpert knowledge of AS9100D standards and compliance frameworks.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication and reporting abilities.High attention to detail and process orientation.Ability to assess complex systems and drive quality outcomes.Leadership and influence to guide audits and foster engagement.Pay and Benefits
