Quality Assurance Manager
Akima Logistics Services (ALS) is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager in the Location Edwards, California. **Responsibilities** + Manages quality assurance activities. Implements, monitors, and interprets testing meant to verify quality or compliance of products or production processes, and suggests modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final products. Manages installs and validates testing equipment or procedures. + Analyzes test results and interprets data to produce reports detaining quality related trends. In-depth understanding of the field's concepts and principles. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions. + Supervision may be provided through a team of subordinate supervisors and/or managers. Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies. + The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager manages the development and implementation of program quality plans, programs, and procedures using quality control (QC) statistics and tools/analyses. + Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. + Monitors, reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. + Directs investigations of problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. + Oversees and interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. + Monitors recommendations for corrective actions, dispositions and modifications. + Responsible for all KC-46 Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) programs. + Responsible to the KC-46 Site Program Manager to: Implement and enforce the KC-46 QA Manual (QAM), supervise all KC-46 QC/ES&H employees, ensure all required inspections and audits are accomplished documented and reported accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and QAM, perform trend analyses, monitor and evaluate training programs, ensure timely and effective response to Customer QAE contract surveillance reports, monitor effectiveness of KC-46 ES&H programs, ensure adequacy and timeliness of modification and configuration change proposals, administer the KC-46 Material Deficiency Reporting program, ensure dissemination of Quality related information. **Qualifications** + An active DoD Secret clearance is required for consideration. + A minimum of 15 years aircraft maintenance experience and 5 years' experience as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector. **Job ID** 2025-18296 **Work Type** On-Site **Pay Range** $160,000.00 - 190,000.00 **Benefits** Regular - The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and a range of other voluntary benefits.
