Responsibilities

1. Oversee Internal ISO and SQF Auditors acting as Lead Internal Auditor.

2. Oversee departmental ISO/SQF Team Leaders and insure that they are completing their responsibilities outlined in meetings.

3. Responsible for ensuring all standards of IMS, ISO and SQF are met.

4. Prepare AW for Audits (IMS, Customer, ISO and SQF)

5. Oversee the development, implementation, review, management and maintenance of the plant’s Food Packaging Safety Programs including the SQF System.

6. Validate changes to Food Packaging Safety Fundamentals and HACCP Plan that have an impact on the ability to deliver safe, quality food packaging.

7. Responsible for the validation and verification of the following SQF requirements:

a. Pre-requisite programs

b. Control points

c. Micro sampling, inspection and analysis for Food Packaging Safety

d. Schedule and lead internal audits for Food Safety (GMP/HACCP Team)

8. Maintain CPNA Quality and Food Safety Systems Compliance Calendar in Sharepoint

9. Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and Department of Health requirements.

10. Track and trend TICS’s and NCMR’s for department

11. Help with TICS investigation to determine RC/CA

12. Track and trend CAR’s and PAR’s for both department and plant

13. Carry out procedures for first time print runs

14. Oversee Printing QA Quality Inspectors

15. Work with Rework to confirm quality defects have been contained

16. Educate inspectors on procedures regarding new products or test methods

17. Maintain all gages and equipment for calibration

18. Review Quality, ISO, and SQF in new hire orientations

Qualifications

1. High school diploma (preferred) or GED equivalent

2. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously

3. Ability to travel as necessary

4. Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner

5. Knowledge of JDE

6. Knowledge of C-Pro

7. Knowledge of TICs

8. Trained on ISO, SQF, IMS, HACCP Standards

9. Computer skills (Proficient in Excel, Power Point, and Word or the ability to Learn)

AUTHORITIES:

1. Assist QA Manager to make changes/updates and process TICS for plant

2. Hold/Release Product

3. Issue NCMRs for defective material

4. Create CoA’s for customers

5. Approve printed samples to be sent to customers

 

DESIGNATED BACKUPS: The AW Printing Quality Manager is the ISO and SQF back up. In the event he is not available the Department Plant Managers are the designated backups for both ISO and SQF.
