Quality Assurance Lead 

 

Function Overview:
This role is situated within the Digital Technology Department, operating under the Global Development Center (GDC) within the DIGITAL and IT function at JTI. The DIGITECH department plays a critical role in defining technology and architecture strategy aligned with the business vision, as well as Digital delivery.

 

 

Position:

As the Quality Assurance Lead within the DIGITECH department at JTI, you will play a critical role in shaping and leading end-to-end Quality Assurance practices across digital products and platforms. You will drive the strategic vision for QA, ensuring quality is embedded early and consistently throughout the software development lifecycle.

You will lead the design and governance of scalable QA frameworks, automation-first practices, and CI/CD-aligned test architecture. In this role, you’ll take full ownership of the QA strategy - from tooling and environments to risk-based test planning and post-release improvements.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Delivery teams, you’ll foster a cross-functional quality culture, ensure test environments and data strategies support fast and safe releases, and create robust metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor and improve QA effectiveness continuously.

You will also lead and develop a team of QA professionals - both manual and automation - providing technical direction, coaching, and resourcing strategy to meet evolving project demands. Acting as both a strategist and a hands-on expert, you will be a key driver of delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, and operational stability.

 

 

Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including 5+ years in strategic QA leadership.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing QA strategies across large-scale enterprise projects.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of tools such as Playwright, Selenium (Moon), Allure, Postman, Applitools, and GitLab pipelines.
• Experience leading both manual and automation teams in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Skilled in test data management, test environment orchestration, and CI/CD integration.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
