Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector with strong experience in electrical inspections, preferably with experience as an inspector for a building department. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with electrical codes such as NEC, Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, and Lightning Protection Code. The ability to review and interpret plans and specifications, applying them effectively during inspections, is essential. We value strong communication and documentation skills, as the role involves providing detailed reports of inspections and ongoing construction activities.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct electrical inspections, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
+ Interpret and apply electrical codes such as the NEC, Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, and Lightning Protection Code during inspections.
+ Review and analyze plans and specifications, applying findings during walkthroughs and examinations.
+ Provide detailed reports of inspections and construction activities, maintaining high standards of documentation.
+ Utilize ANSI/NETA standards for testing electrical power systems to ensure safety and reliability.
Essential Skills
+ Strong knowledge of electrical systems and electrical codes.
+ Experience in quality inspection and quality control, particularly in electrical systems.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical designs.
+ Excellent communication and documentation skills.
+ Experience in project management related to electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Master electrician preferred with a minimum of 7 years field experience or 5 years plus schooling.
+ Degree in electrical engineering with at least 5 years of experience.
+ Experience with ANSI/NETA standards is highly valued.
Work Environment
The project will involve a mix of day and overnight work. Our client is a large design build firm that offers many opportunities for growth, flexible PTO, and stock options.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
