Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison with customers and vendors to ensure quality expectations are metLead and manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiativesPerform statistical analysis and utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) software to monitor and improve processesEnsure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 standardsOversee Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and submissionsUse Microsoft Office tools effectively for reporting and communicationOperate basic inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers with precisionApply structured problem-solving techniques including 8D and 5 Why analysisWork independently with minimal supervision, including remote or offsite oversightTravel up to 25% as needed for audits, supplier visits, or customer support

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experienceHands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, and ISO 9001 systemsProficiency in statistical analysis and SPC softwareSkilled in using basic inspection equipmentStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities using 8D and 5 Why methodologiesSelf-motivated with the ability to work autonomously

Preferred Skills & Experience

Prior supervisory or team leadership experienceExperience in the fastener industryFamiliarity with automotive or heavy truck manufacturing environmentsExperience working with ISO and IATF 16949 management systemsKnowledge of gage calibration and related softwareProficiency with tools such as Optical Comparator, Hardness Tester, and Plug GagesUnderstanding of Lean and Six Sigma principlesExperience conducting quality system or supplier audits

Work Environment

This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you’ll be embedded in daily operations. You’ll be expected to engage directly on the production floor to identify issues, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement. As the on-site engineering lead, you’ll have the autonomy to influence quality decisions and contribute meaningfully to the company’s strategic growth.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
